Review of the Dams Safety Act 2015

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is conducting a statutory review of the Dams Safety Act 2015.

This review aims to ensure the policy objectives of the Act are still valid which will help to ensure the Act continues to effectively regulate dam safety.

There will be public consultation from 30 June to 25 July 2025 and we encourage all owners of declared dams and anyone else with an interest to participate in this important process. For more details, please visit the Dams Safety Act Review page.
