Dams Safety NSW - Public Interest Disclosure Policy

All agencies in NSW are required to have a Public Interest Disclosure (PID) Policy under section 42 of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 (PID Act).

At Dams Safety NSW (DSNSW) we take reports of serious wrongdoing seriously. We are committed to building a ‘speak up’ culture where public officials are encouraged to report any conduct that they reasonably believe involves wrongdoing.

The integrity of our agency relies upon our staff, volunteers, contractors and subcontractors speaking up when they become aware of wrongdoing.

Dams Safety has an agreement with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) that states DCCEEW will exercises all PID functions in accordance with section 81 of the PID Act. The details of the Section 81 agreement and the Policy can be viewed at the following link: Section 81 notice & PID Policy

You may contact the Disclosure Officer, DSNSW Governance and Assurance Manager, or the Head of Agency, CEO of DSNSW. Alternatively, you can make a report using the following link - Make a serious wrongdoing report.
