What is the catchment conditions dashboard
The Catchment conditions dashboard provides a simplified coverage of key data and statistics that may impact water availability in the regulated river systems, where dams capture and store inflows generated by rainfall events, across NSW.
This dashboard compares current general security allocations with their historical allocation patterns. It also provides a number of statistics — namely information on storage volumes, inflows and rainfalls — to help explain current allocation levels and catchment conditions.
It should be noted that water availability for licence holders is determined by the department through a resource assessment that considers current storage volumes and projected inflows under a conservative minimum inflow assumption. To this extent, dashboard users should be mindful that the statistics provided in this dashboard are only part of the range of information that the department considers in making Water Allocation announcements.
The department welcomes feedback from dashboard users, these can be provided via the Feedback form at the bottom of this page.
- At the bottom right-hand-corner of the dashboard, select the "Download" button
- Select a download format (Image, Data, Crosstab, PDF, PowerPoint or Tableau Workbook) and the sheet you want to download.
